Hilarie HON (b. 1994, Hong Kong), graduated with a BA Visual Arts (Hons) at Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2016. HON’s highly personal painting style employs bold colours and strong contrasts to express an inner world full of comical conflict and struggle, with sceneries evoke the alienation and helplessness felt in nightmares. Participated exhibitions include solo exhibition “The Daily Disappearance of the Sun” (Gallery EXIT, Hong Kong, 2018). Group exhibition “Stories We Tell To Scare Ourselves with” (MOCA Taipei, Taiwan, 2019) and “9x9” (1a space, Hong Kong, 2017).
